Communicating Like a Lawyer

Lawyers have a language all their own that helps to facilitate their practice of law. Scholars will have the opportunity to learn how to communicate like a lawyer so they are better prepared to support their management and build client relationships on day one of their new position.

Legal Analysis

Being a good lawyer requires great legal analysis. Scholars will have the opportunity to learn how to identify legal issues, apply the applicable rule of law, and make an effective conclusion. Scholars will practice their skills by drafting legal memorandums and mock oral arguments.

Negotiations & Contracts

Transactional lawyers spend several hours drafting, editing and negotiating contracts. Scholars will be given strategies to help them set their negotiation and contracting skills apart. Scholars will practice their skills with mock negotiations and editing and drafting contract templates.
